Top-order batsman Imran Butt and spinner Nauman Ali are likely to make their debut in the first Test against South Africa in Karachi, starting on January 26. Pakistan Head Coach Misbahul Haq believes that the upcoming Test and T20I series against South Africa will not have an impact on his future. While speaking during a virtual press conference ahead of first Test in Karachi, Misbah said that his sole focus on ensuring that the team does well in their next assignment. “I don’t think that [future as head coach] has anything to do with the South Africa series. I have always played cricket under pressure and you have to perform. You can never have any security or assurances,” said Misbah.
